I had so much fun taking Hannah’s Senior photos class of 2017. Hannah is Mrs. Wright daughter and Mrs. Wright is my baby’s kindergarten teacher. And she also was my middle boy’s 4th grade teacher. It was my honor to take her pictures. I also find senior sessions to be so fun. I find that seniors are so cool. They have a great sense of humor and I can have full conversations with them while we shoot. It’s so fun to ask them about the next step of their life. They are so excited about what is to come and they should be. Graduating high school is so fun and the future seems so full of possibilities. All doors seem to be open and they all lead to great places. It makes me feel young just being around them.
Dawn and I (Hannah’s mom) planned the session around Hannah’s schedule. Seniors are busy people but we were able to get some time with Hannah because cheer season is over and they had already had their banquet. We planned the session on an afternoon where she could meet with us and spend time taking pictures. We wanted to meet at Hughes Landing in The Woodlands. I drove by and noticed lots of interesting patterns and cool walls so I wanted to go back and take photos there. We almost had to cancel the session because of bad weather. All day the news kept saying that it was going to storm. We waited it out and I so happy that we did. There were no storms in out area and we were able to continue with our plans.
I showed up to our meeting point and I had never met Hannah. She is super sweet and so pretty. We walked dow and took pictures by the garage. There is a pretty wall and a perfect backdrop to start our session. At first Hannah was shy but even then the photos we were getting were fantastic. Then Hannah changed to her second outfit of the day and we moved down to a new spot. It was so windy and we were all cold. She was such a trooper and took every pose I wanted and never complained. What a great sport.
We finished Hannah’s senior photos when the sun was coming down and it was even colder. She changed into her third and final outfit, her cheer uniform. We got a couple of photos of her in her uniform. At the end of the session Hannah’s mom said to us, “that was the last time that Hannah put her uniform on.” We all said good bye and the session was over. That evening I got a text that Hannah had a fever and didn’t feel well during our session. She never said anything to us. I can’t believe she was so great during her session and she didn’t feel well. I hope they love their pictures because she did AMAZING!!
