It is graduation time in Houston again and this year is nothing like before. The Class of 2020 has faced many new challenges. Around here kids left school for spring break and they thought they would be back for the end of the year. Little did any of us know that that would be the last time Seniors would walk out of school.
No big goodbyes, or ceremonies for their awards. All spring sports were cancelled. Their last season to play in high school just gone. So many milestones missed. The Class of 2020 left things unfinished. Such a hard thing for them. A lot of them will be moving away for college and won’t see their classmates in a long time.
Through all the challenges and all the missed milestones I have seen them rise up with strength and dignity. I am very impressed by what this class has shown they are made of. I can’t wait to see what they accomplish in the next stage of their life!
As a final goodbye to the graduates I had a cap and gown mini session at a local forest. I am so happy with all the images we got that day! Everyone looked amazing and so happy. It was a dream session. I think all the moms will be thrilled to see their “babies” in their cap and gowns.
It is starting to be a tradition that around graduation time in Houston we have a cap and gown mini session. Last year we had one and I think we will repeat it again every year now. I love seeing all the graduates in their cap and gowns!
Now I am ready for the CLASS OF 2021!!!
