Who knew there was a National Charity League in The Woodlands? Definitely not me. Boy mom here! This was not even on my radar.
The local NCL chapter, The Magnolias, contacted me to take pictures of the senior class. They use those photos for their Senior recognition night and personal use.
I love taking pictures of girls. It makes this boy mom’s heart happy to be around a bunch of girls. Girls are so different and most of the time really enjoy taking pictures.
One major component to the session that we needed to think about was the location. Not only did it need to be beautiful but it needed to be convenient. The girls needed a place to get ready and have access to a bathroom. Another factor was that I needed to have a place for them to wait their turn without being outside. So we decided that the country club, where they have their end of the year event, was the perfect place.
The weather in Houston is hot for a long time. We planned the session for October thinking that it would be cooler. It was cooler but it still was hot and humid. Having a place for the girls to wait for their turn was GREAT. They were able to stay indoors and avoid the frizz. We all know that we don’t want any frizzy hair.
In addition to the individual shots we also did some group photos. We did the usual pose that they have for years and then I put a little Maria Snider Photography spin on it. I must say these girls are naturals! They were the perfect models.
This year’s National Charity League of The Woodlands session is fast approaching. I am looking forward to meeting a new set of senior girls. I know they will knock my socks off!
