Wondering why we send Christmas cards? Think it’s too much work? I am here to tell you that is so worth it. All the planning and getting together is so worth it. Christmas cards are one of my favorite things about the holidays.
On a year were we have been away from so many of our loved ones and so many things are different I am taking comfort in planning my Christmas cards. 2020 has been a doozie for so many people, us included. But one thing is true, 2020 has showed me that even in the hard times there are blessings. The hard times are part of life and without them the good times would not be as good. So I will still send out cards this year. I will celebrate all the good that happened. I will use my camera and focus on the good and blur out the not so good.
One of the reasons I like photography so much is because I get to freeze a moment in time and I get to visit it again and again. I like doing that for my families too. I want to deliver precious memories to all the families that hire me. It’s my job to help them focus on the good and blur out the bad. And if my photos help them do that then I have done my job.
So this year more than any other I am looking forward to seeing all my clients. I am looking forward to seeing how their kids grew and maybe even welcomed a new baby to their family. I am looking forward to seeing families loving each other and spending time together.
This year I am every Christmas card we get will be a little treasure of a difficult year. It will remind me that even if we all had some challenging times we can do it together. So even if you don’t have the energy to send out a card I ask you to think twice about it. Reconsider and focus on the good and blur out the bad.
So send out Christmas cards. Share your good with your loved ones. Make someone’s holidays a little brighter by focusing on your good and blurring out the bad.
Let’s spend some time focusing on the good. Send me a message and we can schedule it.
