Let me tell you about this coffee house senior session. Tyler has done pictures before with me (he had some headshots). For his senior session him and his mom wanted to include their coffee shop. Which, I think that it’s one of the cutest coffee shops in The Woodlands. Their decor is on point!
To be honest this is the third session I have done at this coffee shop. I love it and I also love their food and of course coffee. Go check it out if you are local.
We met when the shop closes so we could have the place to ourselves. We took over a corner and then started shooting. I also wanted to make sure that we included some of the behind the counter, like when he works and helps out making some of their specialty coffees.
We finished at The Blue Door Coffee Company location and we moved to the outside. The Waterway in The Woodlands has so many cool places to take pictures. And the afternoon light is gorgeous.
We walked up and down the Waterway chatting and taking pictures. We were relaxed and got to know each other a little better. And I truly believe that it helped my capture Tyler how he is. He’s personality shines through these pictures.
This is one of the things I love about taking pictures of people. I love to see how they get comfortable with the camera. How they relax and show me who they are. Once that happens I usually will capture my favorite pictures of the session. So I guess you could say that I do not like to be rush.
What we started as a coffee house senior session we finished it as a golden hour senior session. I would say that is the best of both worlds. A little bit inside and a little outside and beautiful light. It makes this photographer crazy happy!
