Why hiring a photographer is important is something I get asked frequently. As a photographer I spend a lot of time learning and perfecting my craft. I have invested money on good gear, taken time to learn how to make beautiful portraits. It is my goal to always be growing as a photographer.
An easy way to see why hiring a photographer is a good idea is comparing what clients see and what I see. Both of us can be in the same spot and see very different things. You might see a run down building and I see a wall with beautiful texture.
When I drive around I am always looking for new spots to take pictures. I am often inspired but the strangest things. It might be the way the light is filtered, or the way the wind makes the leaves move. I also enjoy a good parking lot. Specially if it’s empty!!!
Location for your portraits is important but the most important thing is for clients to feel great and look great. It doesn’t matter if I take you to the perfect location if I don’t help you feel comfortable in front of the camera. It is my goal for my clients to feel great so they look great.
Another reason why hiring a photographer is important is because photographers plan their session to maximize the hour or so we get with our clients. When a client books a session with me I start planning their session. We might discuss what to wear, maybe send them to get their hair and makeup done. The time and place we will meet. What pictures are a must of my clients and what other pictures we will have time with. Those are all steps that I take to make sure your session is GREAT!

If you hire a photographer YOU can be part of the session. You can be enjoying time with your loved ones. You will have images with the people that you love. So do yourself a favor and hire someone to take your pictures (and maybe that someone can be ME LOL).
