I often get asked. “why should we take family photos?” The simple answer is because time flies. Time goes by so fast that one day you are knee deep in diapers, bottles, and toys are take over your house. The next day you are watching your son or daughter drive off to college. It really is that fast. And a lot of times what we look back at is the photos we took. Those are a direct life line to those moments that went by so fast.
Celebrate the Milestones
It is important to celebrate the milestones. There are big milestones like when a new baby comes. Then there are little milestones like the first day of Kindergarten. Part of your family history is all the things that bring you together. We all weave our history with small and big memories. All of them important. And for me it is a privilege to help you capture those memories in photos that can became family treasures.
Professional Photographs Last a Lifetime
Now a days everyone has a camera with them at all times. I love this and I take advantage of this as much as I can with my own family. Selfies are fun and a great way to get everyone in the photo. Yay for mobile cameras that keep getting better and better. However, a professional photos just elevates things in a way that a selfie can’t. A well taken photo will become a family heirloom. Generations to come will enjoy that photo. A photographer (me LOL) be able to find the best light, great location, make everyone comfortable to look great in the photo. And EVERYONE will be in the photo. Mom or dad won’t be behind the lens taking pictures of everyone else (which is the case in my house).
