Do guys take senior photos? That is a really popular question around here. The short answer, YES! I think some people think the senior photography is just for girls. I am here to tell you that is false. Not only I am a boy mom that wants pictures of them when they are seniors. I am also a photographer that photograph boys ALL the time.
I think a lot of photographers focus on girls because we have been told that some boys don’t want to take photos. From my experience, boys are usually there for their mom but then they end up having fun. They are sweet and they want to make their mom happy. Most show up not knowing what to expect. But at the end of the session we are friends and ended up having a blast.
I don’t know if I take a lot of senior pictures of boys because I am boy mom. Maybe I attract more boys because I showcase more pictures of boys. Which ever the reason is, I love it! It is so fun to hang out with these “kids”. I call them kids loosely because they really are young men. They are funny, smart, and they love their mama!
I feel very fortunate that I get to meet these guys and their families. These boys trust me. That is huge. They are trusting that I won’t make them look stupid in front of their friends. And I promise, they will leave feeling so confident that they look good.
