With Houston Senior Rep Team season getting started I figured I should blog about why I don’t do them. Why I chose to not include them as part of my business plan. Many photographers use these rep teams and they seem to work for them. I am not saying they are all bad. What I am saying is that they don’t work for the kind of session I like to focus on.
If you aren’t sure if a rep team is for you, stick around and see what I think about them. And why I don’t do them or plan on doing them.
My top for reasons why I say no to doing a Senior Rep Team
- I want to create photos that mean something to you and your family 20 plus years from now. In a rep team you will participate in group shoots. And in these group shoots there might be girls you know and some you don’t. Will you want those photos in 20 years? Maybe, but you might also look back and think, “why was I with that person on this photo?” I don’t want that when you look at the pictures I take.
- This brings me to reason number two. I like to work with each senior and make their session personal. I want the session to reflect who you are. It’s my style and my eye for photography with YOU at center of it. Are you artsy? I got you! Do you like horses? DONE! together we plan the perfect session and at the end you will have photos that you love forever.
- And the third reason I do not do a Houston Senior Rep Team is schedules. You heard that right. SCHEDULES. Senior year is a busy year. There are all kinds of events, senior recognition nights, last game, last concert, etc. Sometimes getting your session session to work with your schedule can be like playing Tetris. And when all the pieces fit it’s magic. Don’t mess with it. So I do not want to add to your schedule another 2 or 3 events that you have to add to your calendar. There will be no stress coming from me during your senior year. (And I think moms will appreciate this too.)
So now you are ready to book your session that will be only about YOU, send me a message and we can plan something amazing together.
