The biggest question I get is, which photography session is right for me? The answer surprises most of my clients. And the answer is not a simple one to give. There are many factors contributing to the perfect fit for a session.
I would say that most people would be happier with the shortest session (also it’s the least expensive). You are in and out in the most 30 minutes. It’s fast and feels like it should be pain free. A lot of the time it is. This photography session is perfect if you take pictures pretty regularly. You know what you want and you can be “on” the minute we start shooting. You do not need a warm up period.
However, most people do not fall under this category. People get nervous and stressed about taking photos. Everyone wants to look great in photos and that gives most of us anxiety. We get nervous that we have spent money on something and we want it to have good turnout. No one comes into a photography session wanting to look their worst AND we are all entirely to mean to ourselves. It takes a little bit of time to shed all that stress away and really get into the session.
The Gold session is a GREAT session. You get enough time to relax and stop being in your head. Remember it’s up to one hour. It doesn’t mean one hour of constant shooting. I chat and get you to let your guard down and take pictures in between. Just about everyone that has booked a Gold session is always surprised when we finish the session. I try to make all my sessions fun and relaxed but with a little more time it’s a bit easier to do this.
Finally, is the Platinum photography session for you?
This session is great for large families that want a lot of different groupings. There might be an outfit change or something in the middle, too. This session fun. I know that most people do not want to spend that much time taking photos. I see you and I get you! But that extra time I get with you just helps me to get to know you. I love getting to know my clients. I would say most of the time I end up having great friendships with my clients.
Another perfect client for this session is a Senior that wants to have different looks or go to a couple of locations. Senior year is a big deal and we celebrate it big time around here. The hair and the makeup, the outfits, and the perfect location(s) are all a huge deal of these sessions. We plan it and get it done! and a big plus is that you get a print CREDIT. So no only are you getting a longer, more personalized session you get PRINTS. Whether it’s a canvas or some prints, you have something tangible at the end of your session.
